Ghee, also known clarified butter, is butter that has been heated to remove all the milk solids, leaving behind an oil that is more flavourful, easily digestible, and has a much higher smoke point.
Ghee is a staple in Indian cuisine, commonly used in place of oils and butter for curries, frying, baking and roasting. It has a high smoke point of 240°c.
Ghee does not require refrigeration and can be stored at room temperature.
